Texas Hash - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. ground beef (extra lean)
1/2 green bell pepper, chopped
1/2 c. uncooked regular rice
2 Tbsp. chili powder
1 large onion, sliced
1 (16 oz.) tomatoes
1 1/2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
In large skillet, cook and stir meat, onion and bell pepper until meat is brown and vegetables are tender.
Stir in tomatoes, rice, salt, chili powder and pepper. Heat thoroughly.
Pour into ungreased 2-quart casserole.
Cover and bake 60 minutes.
Makes 4 to 6 servings.
