Hearty Bean Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. chopped onion
    2 cloves garlic, minced
    4 Tbsp. vegetable oil
    2 lb. ground beef
    4 cans (20 oz.) kidney beans, drained
    2 cans (16 oz.) tomatoes, chopped
    3 to 4 Tbsp. chili powder
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. thyme leaves
    1 tsp. oregano leaves
    2 Tbsp. cumin powder
Preparation
    In a large pan, saute onion and garlic in oil for 1 minute. Stir in beef and cook until well done.
    Stir in beans, tomatoes, tomato sauce and seasonings.
    Cover and cook over low heat for 1 hour.
    Remove cover and continue to cook 30 minutes more.
