Chinese Marinated Vegetables - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. vinegar (red)
    1/2 c. Wesson oil
    2 c. sugar
    1 Tbsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 (16 oz.) can English peas, drained
    1 (16 oz.) can French-style green beans, drained
    1 (12 oz.) can white Shoe Peg corn, drained
    1 (6 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
    1 (6 oz.) can mushrooms, sliced
    1 small jar pimentos
    1 can bean sprouts
    1 small cauliflower, broken into rosettes
    1 c. green pepper, sliced
    1 purple onion, sliced and separated
Preparation
    Mix vinegar, oil, sugar, salt and pepper together and let stand.
