Texas Chili - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 lb. ground meat
    1 large onion, chopped
    2 cloves garlic, chopped
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    1 can tomato paste
    1 tsp. cumin seed
    1 Tbsp. chili powder
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Brown the meat in a large, heavy skillet.
    Add onion and garlic.
    Stir.
    Cook 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce and can of water. Add paste and can of water.
    Add 1 teaspoon cumin seed. Simmer. Add chili powder about 1 hour before done and salt and pepper to taste. Simmer, covered, on stove about 2 hours total.
    Remove cover and simmer until desired thickness.
