Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 good size, fresh hen
    enough water to cover hen
    2 to 2 1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. shortening
    1/2 to 3/4 c. broth from stewed hen
Preparation
    Stew hen until done; remove hen and keep broth to use later.
