Soft Oatmeal Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. shortening (part butter)
1 c. sugar
2 eggs
2 c. oatmeal
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt (scant)
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. nuts (if desired)
1 c. raisins

Preparation

Note:
Raisins should be put in a bowl and covered with hot water and let stand while mixing cookies.
