Old Fashioned Lemon Icebox Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 can Pet milk or Carnation may be used (do not use Eagle Brand)
    1 1/4 c. sugar
    3 eggs
    juice of 3 lemons (do not use bottled juice)
    grated rind of 1 lemon
    vanilla wafer crumbs
Preparation
    Chill milk in freezer for 45 minutes to one hour.
    Cover bottom of loaf pan with crushed cookie crumbs.
    Whip chilled milk until it stands in peaks (will look like whipped cream).
    Now slowly add sugar while beating with mixer.
    Add eggs, beating well after each one.
    Add strained lemon juice and the grated lemon rind.
    Pour into the crust lined loaf pan and freeze for several hours.
    This is a wonderful light, refreshing dessert.
    Mash and sweeten strawberries to serve on top of each slice.
