Sour Cream Coffee Loaf - cooking recipe

1/2 c. butter or margarine
1 1/4 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 c. sour cream
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
2 c. self-rising flour, sifted
1/2 c. chopped nuts
3 Tbsp. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Cream butter and sugar together until fluffy. Add eggs 1 at a time; beat until well blended. Fold in sour cream and lemon rind. Gradually fold in flour to creamed mixture, but do not beat. Spoon half the batter into prepared loaf pan. Blend brown sugar, cinnamon and nuts. Sprinkle half of this over batter. Spoon remaining batter over sugar layer and top with remaining sugar mixture. Pat down gently. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until done.
