Sour Cream Pound Cake - cooking recipe

3 c. sugar
1 c. margarine or butter, softened
1 Tbsp. vanilla
6 eggs, separated
3 c. Red Band all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1 c. sour cream
Preparation

Heat oven to 325\u00b0.
Grease and flour tube pan.
Beat sugar, margarine, vanilla and egg yolks in large bowl on low speed 30 seconds, scraping bowl constantly.
Beat on high speed 2 minutes, scraping bowl occasionally.
Beat in flour, salt and baking soda alternately with sour cream on low speed.
Beat egg whites in large bowl until stiff.
Fold batter into egg whites; pour into pan.
Bake approximately 80 to 90 minutes.
Cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan.
