Caramel Candy - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 large can Carnation milk
    1 bottle white Karo syrup
    1 stick margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    pinch of salt
    1 c. nuts
Preparation
    Put sugar, Karo syrup and margarine in saucepan.
    Boil until it spins a thread from the spoon.
    Pour in milk.
    Stir until candy thermometer reads 240\u00b0.
    Put in salt, vanilla and nuts.
    Pour in greased pan and cool.
    Cut in squares.
