Minted Pears - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 qt. water
5 c. sugar
5 tsp. Schilling mint flavoring
green food coloring
36 medium-sized fresh pears
Preparation

Bring sugar and water to a boil for 5 minutes.
Add mint flavoring and a generous 2 or 3 shakes of the green food coloring; mix well.
Add about 9 pears which have been peeled, halved and cored.
Return to boil and cook about 5 minutes, depending on variety and ripeness of pears.
