Pork Pearls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. ground lean pork
2 green onions, finely chopped
1 Tbsp. each soy sauce, rice wine and cornstarch
1/2 tsp. sugar and salt
2 c. sweet rice
Preparation

Soak sweet rice in water for 30 minutes.
Season ground lean pork for at least 30 minutes with the soy sauce, rice wine, cornstarch, sugar and salt.
Stir the green onions into the ground lean pork.
Set up a steamer.
Rinse the sweet rice and put it on a plate.
Using a tablespoon, scoop some seasoned pork and roll it in the plate of sweet rice.
Repeat this until all the seasoned pork is used up.
Place the sweet rice coated pork balls into the steamer.
Steam for at least 15 minutes.
Serve with hot rice and other vegetable dishes.
Makes 20 to 30 balls, depending on size. Cooking time 30 minutes.
