Cod Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 (6 oz.) frozen cod or scrob fillets
5 Tbsp. margarine
1 1/2 c. sliced carrots (rounds)
2 1/4 c. potatoes, sliced
1 1/2 c. onions, largely diced
3/4 c. celery, sliced
3/4 c. green pepper, chopped
2 tsp. salt or to taste
1 1/2 tsp. oregano
1/2 tsp. pepper
3 Tbsp. white wine (optional)
2 1/2 c. water
Preparation

Partially thaw fish fillets.
Cut into large chunks.
Saute carrots and potatoes in margarine approximately 5 minutes in heavy pot.
Add remaining vegetables and seasonings. Simmer 3 minutes longer.
Add wine, water and fish.
Ladle into 6 ovenproof bowls and bake in preheated 400\u00b0 oven for 5 to 8 minutes.
Yields 6 servings.
