Taco Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head lettuce, shredded
    3/4 lb. Cheddar cheese, grated
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 (10 oz.) can whole tomatoes
    1 lb. ground beef
    1 (14 oz.) can taco sauce
    1 (6 oz.) pkg. Tostitos or plain Doritos
    3/4 c. black olives, chopped (optional)
    1 can Ranch Style beans
Preparation
    Brown ground beef; season with salt and garlic powder to taste.
    Drain tomatoes well, reserving the juice.
    Add tomato juice, taco sauce and beans to meat mix.
    Simmer 5 minutes.
    Layer tomatoes, onion and olives in a large bowl.
    Top with meat mixture and cheese.
    If you are planning to have leftovers, it is best to serve the lettuce and chips on the side, otherwise layer lettuce, cheese and chips on top.
    Serve hot.
