Banana Nut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 1/2 c. flour
1 2/3 c. sugar
1 1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2/3 c. shortening
1/3 c. buttermilk
1 1/4 c. mashed bananas
1/3 c. buttermilk
2 large eggs
2/3 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Sift together flour, sugar, baking powder, soda and salt.
Add shortening, buttermilk and mashed bananas.
Beat well and then add buttermilk and eggs.
Beat 2 minutes.
Fold in chopped nuts.
Pour into 2 round 9 x 1 1/2-inch pans or 1 (13 x 9 x 2-inch) pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
