Chiffon Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. egg whites (7 or 8)
    1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    7 unbeaten egg yolks
    3/4 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 c. cooking oil
Preparation
    Whip egg whites and cream of tartar until very stiff peaks are formed.
    Sift flour, sugar, salt and baking powder into large bowl. Make a well in center of flour.
    Add oil, egg yolks, water and vanilla.
    Beat with wooden spoon until smooth.
    Gradually pour egg yolk mixture over beaten egg whites.
    Fold gently.
    Put in tube pan and bake at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 1 hour and 10 minutes.
