Jello Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 cans crushed pineapple
    1/2 c. sugar
    1 c. ice water
    1 (8 oz.) cream cheese
    1 (9 oz.) Cool Whip
    1 large box apricot Jell-O
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Mix pineapple and sugar; let boil.
    Add Jell-O and cream cheese.
    Stir until dissolved.
    Add ice water and cool until it begins to thicken.
    Add Cool Whip and pecans.
