Fundy Baked Beans - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. dried beans
    1 1/2 qt. cold water
    1 tsp. salt
    1 medium onion
    1/4 lb. salt pork
    1 tsp. dry mustard
    1/2 c. molasses
Preparation
    Rinse beans.
    Cover with cold water and soak overnight. Drain.
    Add new water and 1 teaspoon salt.
    Cover and simmer for 1 hour.
    Drain, reserving bean liquid.
    Place onion and sliced salt pork in bean pot.
    Add beans, salt, pepper and mustard.
    Add molasses and liquid to cover.
    Bake, covered, 6 to 7 hours at 300\u00b0.
    Add more liquid as necessary.
    Lift cover to brown beans the last 25 minutes.
