Dumplings - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
7 to 8 Tbsp. shortening
1 egg
buttermilk (to moisten)
Preparation

Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt together.
Add shortening.
Add egg and buttermilk.
Roll out on floured board; cut into strips.
Drop in hot simmering chicken broth.
