Layered Lettuce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 head lettuce
    1 c. diced celery
    4 eggs, hard-boiled
    10 oz. pkg. frozen peas, raw
    1/2 c. chopped green peppers
    1 chopped onion
    8 slices fried bacon, crumbled
    2 c. mayonnaise
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. grated Cheddar cheese
Preparation
    Tear lettuce into small pieces and place in 9 x 12-inch glass dish.
    Layer next 5 ingredients in order given.
    Add sugar to mayonnaise and spread over top as you would frosting.
    Top with grated cheese and bacon.
    Refrigerate 8 to 12 hours.
