Aunt Emma'S Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. cucumbers
    3 c. lime
    3 pt. vinegar
    5 lb. sugar
    7 tsp. pickling spice
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
Preparation
    Slice cucumbers; cover cucumbers with water.
    Stir in lime. Cover; let set 24 hours.
    Wash every 1/2 hour for 4 hours.
    Bring to boil vinegar, sugar and pickling spices tied in cloth.
    Pour over cucumbers; let set overnight.
    Heat to a boil.
    Add 1 tablespoon turmeric.
    Put in jars and seal.
