Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    4 c. flour
    4 Tbsp. cornstarch
    4 Tbsp. cocoa or ground chocolate
    4 tsp. baking soda
    2 c. raisins
    2 c. walnuts
    3 c. applesauce
    1 c. cooking oil
    1 tsp. mace
    1 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation
    Sift dry ingredients together in a large bowl.
    Add nuts, raisins and applesauce.
    Add oil last.
    Bake in tube, Bundt or loaf pan (10 x 14-inch) in slow oven (325\u00b0) for about 1 hour.
    I put a small amount of water in pan in oven under cake while baking.
    One-half recipe makes a large loaf.
    Whole recipe makes 48 cupcakes.
    Serve plain or frost lightly.
    Keeps well.
