Vickie'S Crunch Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    cucumbers
    2 c. lime
    1 gal. water
    3 Tbsp. pickling spices, tied in bag
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Cut cucumbers into long strips.
    Soak in mixture of lime and 1 gallon water overnight.
    Rinse in cold water twice; spread on towel to dry.
    Put pickling spices into mixture of sugar and vinegar, to cover cucumbers.
    Bring to a boil; boil 30 minutes. Put into jars.
