Easy Apple Dumpling - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large Granny Smith apples
    1 pkg. eight Pillsbury crescent dinner rolls
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 stick butter
Preparation
    Peel and quarter the apples.
    Wrap one roll around each of the quartered apples.
    Place in a buttered 8-inch baking dish.
    Make the syrup of sugar, water and butter; just let the mixture come to a boil.
    Pour the syrup over the apples.
    Sprinkle with cinnamon and nutmeg.
    Bake 30 minutes in a 350\u00b0 oven.
    Serve warm with whipped cream.
