Applesauce Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. butter
2 1/2 c. sugar
3 c. applesauce
3 eggs
4 c. flour
2 1/2 c. raisins
1 1/2 c. nutmeats
2 Tbsp. cocoa
2 tsp. soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. ginger
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
Add applesauce which has had soda added to it.
Mix cocoa, raisins, nuts and spices together.
Add to mixture.
Add remaining ingredients.
Bake in a tube pan for 2 to 2 1/2 hours in a 250\u00b0 oven.
