Oatmeal Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. rolled oats
1 1/2 c. boiling water
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/3 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Combine
oats
and boiling water; let stand at least 20 minutes.
Cream
together butter, sugar and brown sugar.
Add, mixing
thoroughly,
eggs,\tvanilla and the oat mixture.
Sift together
flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Stir flour
mixture
into
the
egg mixture.
Beat about 2 minutes, then turn into a greased cake pan and bake 30 minutes at 350\u00b0.
