Good Old Missouri Country Biscuits - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    3 Tbsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    3 Tbsp. cold shortening
    3/4 c. milk
Preparation
    Mix dry
    ingredients.
    Add
    shortening.
    Mix shortening and dry ingredients.
    Add
    milk
    and make a soft dough.
    Place on a floured board
    or table.
    Knead lightly for a few seconds using small amounts of
    flour on the board or table.
    Roll out 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut
    with a floured biscuit cutter.
    Place on greased cookie sheet
    pan
    or other greased pan.
    Do not place biscuits too close together.
    Bake
    in hot oven at 450\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
    Makes 12 to 16 biscuits.
