Cream Cheese Pecan Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 cups chopped pecans
1 1/2 cups (3 sticks) real butter, softened
1 8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, at room temperature
3 cups sugar
6 eggs
3 cups sifted cake flour (Swan's Down)
Dash salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Sprinkle 1/2 cup pecans in a greased and floured tube pan. Set aside.
Cream butter and cream cheese.
Gradually add sugar, beating until light and fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flour and salt, stirring until combined.
Beat until light.
Stir in vanilla and remaining cup of pecans.
Pour batter into tube pan and bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
Cool in pan for 10 minutes and remove.
