Black Walnut Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1 1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
3 egg yolks, well beaten
3/4 c. milk
1 c. chopped black walnuts
Preparation

Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt; set aside. Cream together the shortening, sugar and vanilla; beat until fluffy.
Add egg yolks; beat in thoroughly.
Add dry ingredients, alternately with milk.
Add black walnuts.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 minutes, or until done.
