Texas Pecan Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. butter
    2 c. sugar
    6 eggs, well beaten
    1 Tbsp. lemon extract
    4 c. sifted all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    4 c. pecans
    2 c. candy fruit (cherry and pineapple mix)
Preparation
    Blend butter and sugar; add eggs and lemon extract and beat. Add flour and baking powder.
    Mix.
    Add nuts and fruit.
    Pour into greased tube pan.
    Bake in oven at 300\u00b0 for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
