Lemon Layer Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. butter or margarine, softened
2 c. sugar
6 eggs
4 c. all-purpose flour
1 lb. dark raisins, dredged in a little flour
1 box chopped dates, dredged in a little flour
rind of 1 grated lemon and juice
Preparation

Cream the butter or margarine and sugar well.
Add eggs, one at a time, then flour, then raisins, dates, then lemon rind and juice.
Bake in four 9-inch cake pans, greased and lined with paper.
Bake at 325\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
