Pecan Balls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. butter or margarine
    4 Tbsp. powdered sugar
    2 3/4 c. flour
    4 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. finely chopped pecans
    1 Tbsp. ice water
    1/4 c. rum (optional)
Preparation
    Mix all the ingredients together.
    Work dough well with the hands until it can be handled like pie pastry.
    Break into small pieces and roll between the hands into cocoons.
    Place on ungreased cookie sheet 1-inch apart.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 until very delicate brown.
    Remove from oven; roll in powdered sugar while still warm.
    When cool, roll in sugar again.
    Yield: approximately 3 dozen.
