Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
1 tsp. shortening
4 eggs
2 tsp. almond extract
1 c. flour
2 c. Karo pancake syrup (1 bottle)
2 c. chopped pecans
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream the sugar and shortening.
Add beaten eggs, flour, salt, extract and syrup.
Stir well and add nuts.
Pour into unbaked pie shells and bake at 350\u00b0 for about 45 minutes or until filling is firm.
