Christmas Caramel Custard - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3/4 c. sugar
pinch of salt
1/2 tsp. Blair vanilla flavoring
3 eggs
2 c. milk, scalded
Preparation

Heat 1/2 cup of the sugar slowly in a heavy metal skillet, stirring constantly with a wooden spoon until sugar melts and turns a light caramel color.
Pour a spoonful of the syrup in each of 5 custard cups and let stand until cooled.
