Pecan Pie Bars - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box yellow cake mix (reserve 2/3 c.)
    1 stick butter
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 c. Karo dark syrup
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1 to 2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine yellow cake mix, except for 2/3 cup, with butter and 1 egg.
    Pat cake mixture into a 9 x 13-inch pan and bake at 350\u00b0 for 15 minutes or until light brown.
    Take 2/3 cup yellow cake mix and combine with syrup, 3 eggs and brown sugar, mixing well.
    Pour over prebaked crust and sprinkle with nuts.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    Cool, cut into bars and serve.
