Marshmallow Chocolate Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. sifted cake flour
2 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. soft shortening
3 sq. unsweetened chocolate, melted
3/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1/2 tsp. double-acting baking powder
1/2 c. milk
3 medium eggs, unbeaten
Preparation

Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
Line bottom of three 1 1/2-inch deep (8-inch) layer cake pans.
Into large mixing bowl, sift together flour, sugar, salt and baking soda.
Drop in shortening; pour in chocolate, 3/4 cup milk and vanilla extract.
With mixer at medium speed, beat 2 minutes, scraping bowl and beaters as necessary.
Add baking powder, 1/2 cup milk and eggs.
Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
Turn into pans; bake 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tester, inserted in center, comes clean.
Cool in pans on wire racks about 10 minutes.
Remove from pans; remove paper and place layers on racks.
