Taco Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. ground beef
    1 small onion, chopped
    3 (14 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes, undrained
    1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans, undrained
    1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans, undrained
    1 (16 oz.) can yellow hominy, drained
    1 (4 oz.) can green chiles, undrained
    1 1/2 c. water
    1 pkg. taco seasoning mix
    1 pkg. Ranch style salad dressing mix
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook beef and onion in Dutch oven; drain.
    Add remaining ingredients.
    Cover; reduce heat and simmer 1 hour.
    Stir occasionally.
    Yields 13 1/2 cups.
