Old-Fashioned Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. winter flour (12 c.)
    4 oz. sugar (1/2 c.)
    pinch of salt
    3 oz. baking powder (7 Tbsp.)
    1 lb. shortening
    3 oz. milk powder (enough to make 1 qt. milk)
    1 qt. water
Preparation
    Combine flour, sugar, salt and baking powder.
    Cut in shortening.
    Stir in milk powder that has been mixed with the water.
    Roll out dough lightly on a floured surface until about 1/2-inch thick.
    Cut in desired shape and bake on ungreased cookie sheets at 450\u00b0 for approximately 12 to 15 minutes or until golden.
