Steamed Graham Pudding - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. white flour
    1 1/2 c. graham or whole wheat flour
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1 tsp. soda
    1 c. chopped raisins or figs
    1 c. molasses
    1 c. sweet milk
    1 egg, well beaten
    1/2 c. softened butter or margarine
    salt and spices (cloves, nutmeg or any others desired) to taste
Preparation
    Sift flour, whole wheat flour, sugar and soda together.
    Mix remaining ingredients and blend with dry ingredients.
    Steam steadily, but not hard for 2 hours.
    Turn out of pan.
    Serve hot or cold with any sauce desired.
