Creamed Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 or 2 chickens, cut up
    1 large onion
    1 bunch carrots
    1 stick margarine
    1 pt. heavy cream
Preparation
    Place washed chicken in a Dutch oven (do not pat dry).
    Add onion and carrots.
    Cut up margarine over top of vegetables. Season with salt and pepper.
    Cover; simmer over low heat until chicken is nice and soft, about 45 minutes.
    Remove from heat; let stand 5 minutes.
    Add cream; cover and let stand 10 minutes more. Serve with mashed potatoes.
