Doris' Lasagna - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    12 oz. lasagna noodles
    2 lb. ground beef
    2 medium onions, chopped
    4 or 5 cloves garlic, crushed
    3 cans whole tomatoes
    1 can tomato paste (small size)
    1 can tomato sauce
    3 Tbsp. dried oregano leaves
    3 Tbsp. dried basil leaves
    1 small bay leaf
    1/3 tsp. crushed red pepper
    salt and pepper to taste
    12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
    3/4 c. Parmesan cheese, freshly grated
Preparation
    Brown beef and onions; add rest of ingredients and simmer for at least 4 hours.
    Cook noodles according to package directions, adding 2 tablespoons olive oil to the water.
    To assemble, put a little sauce in the bottom of the baking dish; lay noodles on top and top with more sauce, Mozzarella and a sprinkling of Parmesan. Continue layering, ending with Parmesan cheese.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 1 hour or until cheese is lightly browned and bubbly.
