Walkabout Soup - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 cups water
8 beef bouillon cubes
3 large white onions
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1 cup heavy cream
1 1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1/4 c. shredded Monterey jack
Preparation

Heat water to boiling and add bouillon cubes. Boil till dissolved and remove from heat.
Cut onions into thin slices and add to broth. Add salt and pepper.
Return to heat and bring mixture back to boiling and then turn heat to low and simmer uncovered for 1 hour. While stirring, sift flour into soup. Simmer for an additional 30 minutes.
Add cream and 1 cup of shredded cheddar.
Simmer for 10 more minutes.
Serve hot and top with a little Cheddar and Monterey Jack.
