Marinated Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 tomatoes, sliced
    1 medium onion, thinly sliced
    1 c. Crisco oil
    1/2 c. red wine vinegar
    1 tsp. garlic powder
    salt and pepper
    lettuce leaves
    toast
Preparation
    Put tomato slices and onion slices in a shallow container. Combine oil, vinegar and garlic powder; shake well and pour over tomatoes and onions.
    Cover and marinate in refrigerator at least 30 minutes.
    Serve on lettuce leaves or two pieces of toast.
