Salvation Army Donuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 to 3 eggs
    1 c. flour
    1/3 tsp. nutmeg
    3 or 4 c. flour
    1 c. milk
    3 Tbsp. melted butter or oleo
    3 heaping tsp. baking powder
    dash of cinnamon
Preparation
    Beat eggs and sugar together.
    Add butter or oleo to milk. Put 1 cup flour, the baking powder, nutmeg and cinnamon together and mix into milk mixture.
    Add enough flour so batter can be rolled out on a board.
    Cut into donut shape.
    Fry in hot Crisco (about 2 pounds).
    Fry to a golden brown on both sides.
    Drain on paper.
    (I always put a piece of raw potato in the Crisco.)
