Chocolate Mayonnaise Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. unsifted flour
2/3 c. unsweetened cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 2/3 c. sugar
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. mayonnaise
1 1/2 c. water
Preparation

Grease and flour bottoms of two 9-inch round baking pans.
In medium bowl, stir together the first 4 ingredients, then set aside.
In large bowl, with mixer at high speed, beat sugar, eggs and vanilla (occasionally scraping bowl), for 3 minutes or until light and fluffy.
Reduce speed to low; beat in mayonnaise, then add flour mixture in four additions alternately with water, beginning and ending with flour.
Pour into pans.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes, or until cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
Cool in pans 10 minutes.
Remove and cool on wire racks.
