Sweet And Dilly Cocktail Carrots - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. carrots, cut into thin sticks
    3 c. granulated sugar
    3 c. cider vinegar
    2 c. water
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    1 Tbsp. dill seed
    1 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 bay leaves, each about 2 1/2 inches long
    1 tsp. salt
    4 large cloves garlic, quartered lengthwise
