Sweet-Sour Ribs - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. pork ribs
    1 Tbsp. shortening
    1 clove garlic, minced
    1/4 tsp. ginger
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 1/2 tsp. sugar
    3/4 c. vinegar
    2 Tbsp. soy sauce
Preparation
    Melt shortening and brown ribs until golden.
    Lower heat. Combine the rest of the ingredients and pour over ribs.
    Cover and braise 1 1/2 hours or until tender and ribs are glazed.
