Ambrosia Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) pineapple (crushed)
    2 c. boiling water
    1 (11 oz.) can mandarin oranges, drained
    1 3/4 c. Cool Whip
    1 (8 serving size) pkg. orange Jell-O
    1 1/2 c. miniature marshmallows (optional)
    1 pt. orange sherbet
Preparation
    Drain pineapple; save juice.
    Add cold water to juice to measure 1 cup.
    Stir boiling water into gelatin in a large bowl. Mix until dissolved.
    Stir in measured liquid.
    Refrigerate 1 1/4 hours or until slightly thickened.
    Stir in whipped topping until smooth.
    Stir in other ingredients.
    Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm.
