Zucchini Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. zucchini (1/2-inch pieces)
    3 medium onions, sliced (3 c.)
    1 large green pepper, chopped
    2 whole cloves
    2 Tbsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. cider vinegar
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    3/4 tsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. mustard seed
    3/4 tsp. whole celery seed
    1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation
    Combine zucchini, onions and green pepper in large roaster pan.
    Salt and garlic.
    Stir.
    Add 3 trays ice cubes.
    Mix through.
    Cover and let stand 3 hours.
    Combine vinegar, sugar, turmeric, mustard seed, celery seed and cloves in Dutch oven and bring to boil.
