Egg Custard Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 eggs
1/4 c. sugar plus 2 Tbsp.
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. milk, scalded
1 (9-inch) pastry shell (unbaked)
nutmeg
Preparation

Beat eggs, sugar and vanilla together.
Add scalded milk. Scald means to heat milk just to the boiling point, but do not allow to boil.
The pan used for scalding is easier to clean if rinsed out with hot water before adding milk.
